Tree Studies, British, c. 1880s deux enfants a la mer 23 1/2" long x 5Two studies of trees, from a portfolio of c. 1880s sketches by a British artist of whom only the initials E. G. H are known; the "Broomfield" scrawled at the bottom of each sketch I believe refers to the location of the drawing a hamlet in Wiltshire, England. I quite like the combination of the two studies on one page, each transporting in a different direction, while at the same time reminding me of the format of a stereoscopic card, as it the two
