MARNIE STERN - The Comeback Kid LP swamp Of that scene’s flagship groupsMarnie Stern took ten years between this one and her last one, yes she spent the intervening time being The Queen Of Late Nite, by which I mean she was lead guitarist in Seth Meyers's band but this record basically picks up right where she left off. Which is great! Her kind of absolutely wacky guitar noise pop is exactly what we need right now. And this album really does feel like a reemergence, like a crocus pushing up through the February snow.
