Gary Howells Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #4 8'3" The aluminum downlocking screw lockA lightly fished G. H. Howells 8' fly rod in near mint condition. Built for a #4 line, this rod weighs 3 5 8 ounces and is marked serial #5822. The varnish is superb and the rod is constructed in a two up node pattern. The wraps are brown with yellow edges. It has an uplocking screw lock reel seat over a varnished walnut spacer. The grip is done in the western style and has a faint trace of hand soiling. This rod has a surprisingly sweet feeling
