Ottoman shamshirs with import blades are common, but blue and gilt ones are unusual. The blade is of very high quality, and remains solid from base to tip. It has a good, thick spine. 90% of the bluing remains visible. The sword enters the scabbard with a satisfying 'click'. The hilt is made from a translucent carved horn, with a green yellow colour.
