Part of the reason is just the sheer amount of excellent art in the set, which the publisher says contains the largest collection of Final Fantasy artwork ever in a single game. But another big reason are the goofs, which are deeply embedded into the mechanics of the popular trading card game

I was sent one of the playmats, but havent played with the sleeves or deck boxes for this set, so I cant comment on if the quality has changed

Im not saying the card is completely unplayable, but a card better win you the game if youre spending 8 mana on it, which this is really far from doing

Try not to screw up too many times though or you might cause permanent warping
