I am uncertain as to whether it is bronze cast or iron cast with bronze finish (it is quite heavy for its size)

I think perhaps it was just ahead of its time

The curled piece attached by rivet to the bottom left of the hanging rack is a tiny bit loose

I especially love the pouty expression on the older, as well as her chunky beaded necklace, which seems not to suit her at all. And how the decorative chair back frames the head of the younger at the ears, reading a bit like fancy side buns! But despite not looking especially happy to have their pictures taken, this wonderfully tender gesture of interlocking arms at the very center of the image. 3 1 4" x 2 1
