Charming Small 1840s Cloth Covered Scrapbook/Ledger whittled chain 3 5/8" long x 1A very sweet little thing, it appears this notebook was first used for recording expenses, then repurposed (possibly recovered at that point in this charming woven plaid fabric with separate strip covering the spine) as a scrapbook for assorted clippings. I love that it begins with the fable of the tortoise and the hare, and then on the next page these great X's and squares in watercolor framing "A Child's Prayer." The remaining clippings are quite
