I love them as a pair and would use them as vases or perhaps as storage vessels for chopsticks or wooden spoons or whatnot

is really striking from a distance

though I'd probably treat them as little sculptures and line them up in a row

but I think it is quite lovely

Beautifully Crafted Antique Carved Wood and Woven Ash Splint Chair blue and white swirl I love them as aOne sees doll chairs and benches in this manner around these parts from time to time usually referred to as Adirondack but I don't think I've ever seen one as lovely as perfectly aged as this one, which feels like pure sculpture to me. Late ish 19th century I believe, the frame of the chair was carved in pieces with tiny nails used to secure them where the pieces meet, with bent twigs for the sides and woven ash splint I believe for the back and seat.
