I had thought it was Chinese

I just think they are incredibly beautiful objects as well as very fun to play

Could be mid-century but maybe more contemporary

Austrian Modernist Round Lidded Box with Hand-drawn Designs antique odd fellows tag November 23I've not seen another like this, made in Austrian c. 1920s I believe, which feels Art Deco Constructivist Bauhaus, with the hand drawn painted designs on the lid hovering between abstraction and figuration. (I see a sort of Moholy Nagy radio tower at top, and two kneeling figures that are also pure geometry at lower right). Unusual, and great from the side too, with alternating bands of red and gold. 3 5 8 t x 5 3 4 in diameter. Good condition, with
