I found it at the estate sale of an artist and gallerist on Newbury Street in Boston

which I believe is Peruvian—it feels bright and festive thrown over the back of a sofa or taken on a picnic

and just one reference to it

and I'd think well more than that

Rare, Unusual Old Tin Litho Penny Toy Inclined Car (Funicular?) black ink drawing I found it at theI've done a fair amount of searching but can't find another old tin litho penny toy like this cool inclined one, which perhaps connected to a few others and a very steep ramp. I love it as its sits on a flat surface now, making everything around it feel askew. And hard to be the terrific color scheme, and very gangster looking driver at the helm! I can't find a mark on it and as I can't find another am not sure of the maker. Pre WWII I would guess.
