With original hand color distinguishing the regional boundaries, its a great early 19th century view of the state, including some very early railroad lines. Shows one rail line between Washington DC, and Baltimore, and another much longer line in the south, reaching from Portsmouth, down to the town of Weldon on the Roanoke River in North Carolina.
