Edna Mohler's Maple Leaf, 1910 Crayon Drawing tightly woven basket and a partial loss ofA very October feeling sort of a maple leaf in this radiant yellow, with just a bit of orange too, and I really love the manner of those handwritten "L"s, echoing the line of the leaf of the stem, and evoking the gesture of a feaf fluttering to the ground.
