made of porcelain encased in a very finely woven wicker shell

who I believe acquired it from a notable Pennsylvania collection of naive drawings sold off some years ago

It was signed BJ and dated 1994 on the underside; a bit of searching led me B. J. Pawlaczyk of Michigan, maker of both duck decoys and fishing decoys, who I'm certain was its maker.
