A very fine pair of satinwood demilune card tables circa 1775 having inlaid and banded tops over a plain banded frieze and banded square tapered legs

These chairs remained in Somerville House for the entire 20th century

the front legs having carved shells on the knees and terminating in ball and claw feet

Rosewood Open Shelf and Shaped Regency Bookcase Georgian 5" Painting and gilding refreshedA fine rosewood open shelf bookcase, the shaped top veneered in rosewood with concave sides, with reeded columnar supports separating the central section from the concave sides, the columns capped with gilded twist turning, an indented ring, the remainder of the columns straight reeds alternately gilded and rosewood, terminating in vasiform , gilded and reeded feet, the drawer dividers all decorated with a thin gilded line outlining the shelves.
