This double-sided drawing came from the small sketchbook of a Willis Hutchinson

with little wooden hands nailed to the end of the sleeves

or at least that it once had string reins drawn from nose to saddle on either side

The overall photos of it as useful just as a reference (very poor lighting!) but the details of each square give a good sense.
