This is the smaller of two old concrete sculpture fragments I found together in Maine

Very Lovable Naive Dog Painting on Hanging Plate handmade box with mirror and cornflower blueOh, this sweet fluffy creature, a little homely perhaps but more lovable for it, and with this great wagging pink tongue hanging out. Late 19th century or so I believe, painted on a plate (I thought was wood but now am thinking is likely hard paper mache) with a hanger on the back, and with the crackling to the black painted background around his head reading a bit like a halo of static electricity! Better in person and completely empathy inducing.
