Carved Wooden Spoon with Curvy, Hooked Handle vintage brush with great patina but I am not entirely

but I am not entirely certain of its age

I had never seen one of these planters before

I believe every other facet on the long sides of the vase is exposed glass that has been frosted

My guess is that it dates from the late 19th century or so

Carved Wooden Spoon with Curvy, Hooked Handle vintage brush with great patina but I am not entirelyI just love this old carved wooden spoon, which feels as much like a sculpture as a utilitarian object, with this great snake like handle terminating in a hooked end, making it easy to hang. It's nice and substantial, and one could use it as a tasting or a serving spoon or, if you're hungry, use it to eat your soup or stew! It's definitely got some years on it, but remains in good condition with some aging to the wood as pictured. 8" long x 2 1 2"
