Leonard Bimetal fly reel made by Philbrook & Paine in the last quarter of the 19th century. Clearly marked "H. L. Leonard Pat. June 12, 1877". Constructed with a bronze frame, german silver sideplates, foot, handle arm, and spool. The pillar to pillar diameter is 2 1 4" (without pillars it is 1 15 16"). The spool width is 3 4". Ivory handle grasp which makes the reel even more scarce!
