Description

red is most common

Woman with Hand on Pedestal 1923 Pencil Drawing by Charles Martin kid art red is most commonFrom her ringlets, to her pearls, to the drape of her shawl, to her bangled wrist and the way her hand leans on this pedestal, I really love the poise and attitude of this woman! I also like how the drawing perfectly swirls ancient Greece and 1920s America together, making our subject a rather transcendental woman for the ages. Altogether, I must say I find her rather inspiring, and would not want to cross her! 8 3 4" x 5 7 8", pencil on cream paper.
