The lack of a serial number indicates an early rod (sometimes rods with no serial numbers could be kit rods, but the wraps and ferruling on this one are too professional for it to have been done by an amateur). Bob Summers pointed out that when he worked in the Young shop the keeper wraps always came to the bend, not
