The box measures 8 1/8" x  4 1/8" x  1 3/4" with ridged foam on both sides

Claar is very active in the Catskill fly fishing community and recently donated two rods to the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum (CFFCM)

The foot shows mounting marks from use and the underside of the foot appears to have been filed slightly to accommodate a reel seat with a slightly wider-than normal design

Near mint condition with virtually no signs of use except for a few tiny handling marks and some ever so faint mounting marks on the foot. Nice clear anodized frame with black sideplates and serpentine handle in the classic s style. Smooth fixed drag. The reel weighs 4. 6 oz and is designed to hold a DT4 plus 30 yards of backing. Includes the original Peerless leather reel case.
