Frank Dorn was a student of China who spent many years there with the US Army serving on the staff of General Stilwell during WWII. He also was a talented illustrator who made this elaborate pictorial map showing the scenes and history of the city. The map is filled with sketches of residents at work from bakers and carpenters to the executioner.
