The striking Art Nouveau pen and ink drawing on the front of this 1903 postcard feels to me very apropos for marking the beginning of 2021--not exactly bright and cheerful

6" t x 4 1/2" w closed and in very good condition

but would also work great as vases or small planters--or are just great sculptural objects on a shelf

Old Folk Art Boot Doorstop! eye testing which I believe dates toIve seen a lot of folk art doorstops, and maybe even a few shaped like Victorian ladies boots, but Ive never seen one like this. I love it for its sort of crude awkwardness, and that red toe and trim, making me think it might be a marching or majorette boot, or maybe that of a circus ring leader! And of course I like the idea of putting a foot down to stop the door, though this is not very heavy and I dont think would be especially effective at at!
