Colorful Vintage Handwoven Lidded Basket Presumed African fiber art which is in near perfectI just love the silhouette of this mid sized vintage coiled basket, with that round and deep lower half offset by its dramatically sloping lid which doubles as a handle. Those striped and checkerboard patterns created by way of the natural dyes are pretty great too, especially pronounced on the interior of the basket where their original saturation is preserved. I am not certain the origins of this piece, but based on color, shape, and the structure
