I jumped on this unusual box the second I saw it (which photos don't do justice)

with some small scrapes and tiny dings and little darkening here and there

as if they are old friends and this happens everyday

Of course they are so beautiful that they are also perfectly wonderful just to keep at home

Elegant Inuit Black Stone Carved Owl Karin og Aase ceramic I jumped on this unusualI'm sure this Inuit carving, with its crooked beak, represents an owl, but is a fairly unusual one from what I've found in its minimalism, feeling quite like a modernist sculpture. Very striking I think, with a really strong presence. 4 3 4 t x 5 1 4 long measured on the square; 1 lb 6 oz. Signed (incised) in syllabics with a disc number on the underside. Very good condition, with a few flaws in the stone, which appear native to it.
