There are a couple of chips to the bone on the Victorian pin cushion and it is likely there was once a lid to the thimble holder

with some paint loss on the corners and one side particularly and some scratching to the plexiglass consistent with use

Nice warm patina to the dry wood; mid century I'd guess, with a mcm sort of sleekness about it. 4 7 8" x 3 1 4" t x 1 3 8" and in very good vintage condition.
